Michael Patterson has called Charlotte, NC home since 1993, nurturing a deep connection to this vibrant city. With a BFA in Photography and Painting from Louisiana Tech University earned in 1980, Michael brings decades of artistic experience to his craft. Since establishing his studio in 2014, he has embraced an exhilarating new phase of creative exploration. This dedicated space has become a sanctuary for experimentation, where texture, movement, tension, and color intertwine to form compositions that feel alive and complete, even if they resist easy definition.

Michael’s approach is tactile and immersive. painting primarily with his hands, he blends colors intuitively to build layers of depth and texture. Bridging his dual talents as a painter and video editor, he thrives in a world defined by two dimensions, where nuance of color and texture shapes the story. His vision is for each painting to enrich his personal artistic journey while forging an immediate and powerful connection with viewers. He hopes to invite not just appreciation for the finished work, but a deeper understanding and respect for the creative process behind it.
